Fiscal Sponsorships

The mission of United Way of Northern California (UWNC) is to improve lives in the North State by mobilizing and integrating resources to advance the common good and promote the caring power of our communities with a focus on the building blocks for a good life: Education, Financial Stability, and Health.

The vision of UWNC is to be a leader for Collective Impact which will promote positive systemic changes in our nine-county serving area to ensure a better life for all community members, through partnerships with local employers, government agencies, and non-profits.

When appropriate and as it correlates to UWNC’s mission and vision, UWNC acts as a neutral convener and supports capacity building for organizations, groups, and entities working to solve community issues in an inclusive way.

UWNC agrees to act as the fiscal sponsor for movements within the community to accept monetary donations and provide administrative services, which must qualify as a charitable project under guidelines outlined in the Internal Revenue Code.
